SWEET CAROLINE

              I'm assuming that we all know the famous Neil Diamond song  "Sweet Caroline". If not just know that it was a song by the person who did "Forever in Blue Jeans" (I'm assuming that you know that, too). Sweet Caroline is about Neil Diamond singing a song about Caroline Kennedy, John F. Kennedy's daughter. The song was performed on the 50th birthday of Caroline Kennedy. Neil Diamond was worried that she would feel abashed but instead she felt very happy.
             Anyways, now that you know a little about that song. It's time to tell you my story. Before I tell you my story I would like to say that this is.... fast-pacing.
             It started at the St. Xavier and Manual game. I was cheering on Manual on, of course. But soon they started getting creamed. It went from 7 to 0, to 14 to 0, to 25 to 0. After that point, I stopped paying attention. I don't know what the final score wound up being and I don't want to know. Either Manual came back and won (doubted) or St. Xavier beat them pretty bad (thought to be true). So then I went to the concession stand and got a nice hot dog and a sprite. They seems refreshing, right? So I went to go sit down on the green lawn and try to relax. Sometimes when I'm bored I just relax and that usually takes up a lot of time. After "relaxing" the game was coming to an end. By that time, I was walking back to my seat and all the sudden-- "Sweet Caroline! Buh Buh Buh!" The rest was drowned out by the sound of the commentator of the game. He announced, "who wants this football autographed by both coaches of the game. "Oh," I thought. "That would be pretty cool to have."
Famous Last words.
One of the players through it into the crowd and right when I turned around to look-- BAM! Right in the eye. Of course, everyone scurried to get the football trampling over me. I felt so abashed as everyone stared at me for a few minutes. After that I went home and the only thing that replayed in my head was, "Sweet Caroline! Buh Buh Buh!" Over and over again in my head.

P.S. If you were wondering why I made abashed orange it's because it's the key word of this blog today.
